Early next week you should start to catch Star Trek: Legacy, a strategy game for the Xbox 360, hitting store shelves in North America. Set phasers to wait and see. The game is the first Star Trek license to hit the next-gen Microsoft world. It has received some not so awful reviews, and has the potential to offer something new for the console.
STAR TREK: Legacy places you in the Admiral’s chair as you command your hand-selected fleet of starships into battle. Featuring striking space environments, detailed weapon effects, and full damage modeling, the single player Federation campaign and robust multiplayer modes span the entire STAR TREK Universe with over 80 ships and 4 playable races. While commanding Federation, Romulan, Gorn, or Borg fleets, this real-time combat game provides a strategic and tactical experience as you battle across vast sections of space.
STAR TREK: Legacy features the voices of all five actors who portrayed the original STAR TREK captains – William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, Scott Bakula, Avery Brooks, and Kate Mulgrew. The collaboration marks the first time the five actors have participated in a single STAR TREK project together.
