Following this week's announcement that EA has acquired Headgate Studios to become EA Salt Lake and focus on Wii development, Next Generation conducted a short interview with Headgate Studios CEO Vance Cook.
In addition to confirming that the company will indeed shift away from the PC platform (where it worked almost exclusively in the past on golf games and ports) to focus on the Wii, he also confirmed that so far the new EA studio is working on two Wii titles.
So what could those two Wii titles be? It seems obvious that the golf-centric company is probably working on the Wii port of Tiger Woods' PGA Tour 07. The other most likely candidate is probably the Wii port of The Godfather The Game, announced way back in July of this year, since the company recently finished porting the same game to the PC for EA. With EA's committment to strengthening its support of the Wii, it's likely that the studio will see several more projects in the near future.
